TWEAK YOUR YAHOO YOUR MESSENGER 6.0 + FRIEND'S LIST

     Open your yahoo preferences and change the settings to match the following pictures. When done, your friends list will be more compact and cleaner looking& It will not only take up less space on your monitor, but will use less of your computer's resources.& Perhaps run a 'little' better?

     I Change all my yahoo sounds to 'click.wav' to stop the annoying loud yahoo sounds.

     I NEVER allow others to get files from my messenger unless I send them Also: clear the box "Directory where others can get my files" AND make sure your Anti-virus program is set to scan any recieved files in here!!

     This setting will put your Instant messages on your taskbar so they don't pop up in front of you. (very annoying at times) (Make sure you change the setting for 'When I recieve an instant message' in 'Alerts & Sounds' to 'flash' too

PRIVACY:

     I always log on invisible, read my offlines Answer them, and adjust my 'Status' message' to go Visible IF you have a webcam..you can ALSO uncheck the box 'Showing my webcam, and display this message' IF you don't want people on your friend's list to know it's on

WEBCAM:

IF you have a webcam: Here is where you change the settings

     IF you only want certain people to view anytime, click the appropiate box, and edit the list 'MAKE SURE' that you put a check in 'ignore all other view requests. IF you click both and don't add names to the list, your cam can only be viewed by those you send an invitation to
